Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) more popularly known as her real title Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. On the 21st of October, 2016, she released Pho, her first EP on the Dreamville Records label. It was at this point that she gained her first recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012 following the release of her first mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. Ari Lennox continued posting her songs online, including her self-released single Bound. On July 21st, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes' track Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to use it with Rihanna. The 8th of December was the day she confirmed that she had been signed to Dreamville Records. The album Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the song Backseat along with Cozz. On October 21, 2016 the debut EP of Ari Lennox was released, titled Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance on behalf of J. Cole on his track Change in 2017, and appeared on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. She also appeared on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus together with Bas the label's co-founders. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream of her album debut Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on September 5. Then, on the 9th of November she dropped two additional singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Then, on November 13 the singer released two new singles titled One and Pdigree. One as well as Pdigree. Then she appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single on the 26th of February 2019 for her debut album of the same name. In February the music video for this track was launched. It has had over 3 million YouTube views in just a single week. As a supporting act she performed in concert with 6LACK during December 2018 on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
